Ok, what is the deal with the PS3? Come on people - why do people want the PS3 to act just like and 360? In doing this they have lost everything COOL about the Playstation family!

Ok what made the PlayStation family so much better than the, Xbox, DS, Game Cube, DreamCast? Really what made it so much better? Maybe the fact that the Playstation family was a FAMILY! You were able to use the same controls, same memory cards, same disks, the same everything. Now, the new Playstation 3 totally changed all that. Now it's even bigger than the ORIGINAL PS (weighs twice as much too). The control is now USB? What?!?!
*takes PS2 control tries to put it into PS3 control slot* "It doesn't fit!"

Now the PS3 has internal memory? That sucks! Now you have to lug the whole 11 pounds (about 5 kg's) around. 11 pounds doesn’t seem that heavy until you have to carry it up 7 flights of stairs to your dorm room. Compare that to the PS2 at a whopping 900g's. (1.984 pounds). Even the very first MODLE of the PS wasn't that heavy. I know it's supported be like a computer, but damn I've held CPU's that weight half that of a PS3 and have the same (if not more) computing power.

Now look at this you have 3 types of Xbox 360's: Arcade, 360, and Elite. What are the differences?

Arcade: $280, Wireless controller and memory unit, 5 free live arcade games
360: $350, 20GB hard drive, Froza Motorsport 2, Marvel,
Elite: $450, 120 GB hard drive, Froza Motorsport 2, Marvel

No memory, some memory, allot of memory. Plus you have to buy controls, headsets, Xbox Live (or it’s not fun) Ok - Now that's what an Xbox is. That’s not what a PS3 is supposed to be. The perfect PS3 would be able to handle all 3 console games, have portable memory (memory cards), allow all controls to be used with it, and not look like some funky footstool. But NO they had to go be the 360.

You need the Control (oh don't forget that Wireless one) that doesn't fit the other PS consoles, PlayStation EYE camera, Memory Card Adaptor (wouldn't need one of these if it just used memory cards!), Blu-Ray remote control, Component AV cable, S video Cable, AV Cable.

All these things are just more money to spit out - not to mention the games suck right now. Pretty much you can play a sports game or a fighting game.

Why can't they just make one BIG PS3 with all the wonderful stuff in each of them combined, market it that way while allowing people to still use their original controls and memory cards with out adaptors.

I don't know I just don't like the fact that you have to lug the whole thing to a friend’s house just to play your game. STUPID! It's not and Xbox do something original SONY! STAY THE SAME!
